Not a manifesto. A list of things that are true on the real boxes — and how you can check each one yourself.
No telemetry. No account required to use the tools. Nothing phones home. Our Shield blocks trackers and ads, fingerprint armor perturbs the surfaces that identify you, and DNS is encrypted to a resolver we choose — never Cloudflare, never Google by default. The private thing is the default, not a paid upgrade.
The interface loads and runs on your machine, offline. Servers are for data, not for holding your screen hostage. If our cloud has a bad day, your tools still open and your menus still work — because the UI never depended on us being up.
Customer products never touch the owner backend. That is not a policy we hope holds — it is enforced when the software is built. The wire between the two planes does not exist in the customer build, so it cannot be crossed by accident or by attacker.
Nothing is “done” or “verified” until it actually ran on the real hardware and we looked at the result with our own eyes. We do not ship a screenshot of a promise. If we have not proven it, we do not say it works.
We fix the root cause or we do not call it fixed. No hiding a crash behind an auto-restart, no papering over a broken thing to make a status light turn green. When something cannot be fixed yet, we say so plainly instead of pretending.
Our operating system, our search, our AI, our browser, our comms — running on our own metal. Every third party you remove is one more company that cannot sell you out, leak you, or change the deal after you have committed.
The values under all of it: you can speak, you are not surveilled by default, and you can open, understand, and fix the things you own — all the way down to the hardware, which is where the whole company is pointed.
We do not sell or rent your data — not anonymized, not aggregated, not ever. No dark patterns. No crippling the free tier just to sell you the fix. No ads mining your attention. No artificial limits dressed up as a plan. If a business model needs any of that to work, it is not one we will build.
Every claim here maps to something you can look at:
That is the whole point. If this is the kind of tech you want to use — or back — come say hello.
