Plain-English licensing — what’s ours, what’s yours, and exactly what you’re free to do with it.
Everything TechX makes ships under a proprietary license (see each product’s or repo’s LICENSE for the specifics). When you buy or use a TechX product you get a license to use it under those terms — one license, tied to you — not ownership of the software itself. You can’t copy, resell, sublicense, or repackage it.
Some of our source is public so you can audit it, learn from it, and see how we actually work. It’s still proprietary: read it, reference it, learn from it — don’t repackage or resell it as your own. Each public repo’s LICENSE file is the final word.
Where a permissive open-source component (Apache 2.0, MIT, BSD) does the job, we use it as a building block and honor its license and attribution. We build our own by default — but we don’t reinvent a solved wheel just to say we did, and we credit what we lean on.
For bespoke builds and client projects, who owns what is spelled out in the written agreement for that project, up front — no ambiguity, no surprise claims later.
Our license covers our software — never your content. What you create, store, or send stays yours. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle (and don’t harvest) your data. Licensing questions: support@techxmaestro.com.
